BEIRUT: Lebanese security forces reopened over the weekend a road that had been blocked in the Bir Hassan neighborhood of Beirut by protesters demonstrating against a crackdown on illegal construction on public property.
Before noon Sunday, some 50 people, using vehicles and dumpsters, blocked the road in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
