TRIPOLI, Lebanon: The Haykal Hospital held its first nursing conference Sunday at Safadi Center in the northern coastal city of Tripoli to shed light on the nurse’s role in health promotion.

The conference was attended by representatives of the health and finance ministers, the head of the Order of Nurses Claire Zablit, and a group of doctors and nurses from over 30 hospitals.

Zablit addressed the importance of Nursing Continuing Education to support nurses in improving their performance through holding conferences and seminars as well as university education programs to keep pace with new developments in the field.
