BEIRUT: Lebanon’s Athletics Union announced Friday that the next West Asia Championships for Juniors would be held in Lebanon from Sept. 23 and 24 at the capital’s national stadium.
An opening ceremony on Sept. 21 will precede the tournament, which will be held at the Camille Chamoun stadium in Beirut.
Thirteen countries will take part in the event - Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Syria, UAE, Qatar, Palestine, Yemen, Iran and Lebanon and is aimed at athletes aged 16-17.
