BEIRUT: General Security personnel raided cinemas showing pornographic films in Tripoli and Nabaa and made several arrests, according to a statement issued by the Directorate General Wednesday.

“Based on information received by the Directorate General of General Security on certain cinemas in Nabaa and Tripoli showing pornographic films, several patrols raided these cinemas Wednesday, and they confiscated the banned films and arrested the offenders,” the statement said.

It also reminded owners of cinemas and video stores of the need to abide by the law and refrain from showing or selling unauthorized films.
