3 workers rescued after dig site collapses in Sidon

SIDON: Response teams in the southern coastal city of Sidon rescued Thursday three construction workers whose dig site had caved in earlier in the day.

Civil Defense teams and Lebanese security authorities managed to extract Palestinian workers Mahmoud al-Natour, Ahmad Abdel-Ghani and Ibrahim Mansour from the 3-meter trench, where the three had been installing underground pipes.

The three men, who suffered bruises and fractures, were taken to a local Sidon hospital for treatment.
