SIDON, Lebanon: A gunman died Wednesday after having been shot a day earlier during an armed clash in the south Lebanon Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh.
The victim, identified as Kheir Oweid, belonged to Ansar Allah, a breakaway Fatah faction backed by Hezbollah.
Ansar Allah refused to bury Oweid Wednesday, saying that two suspects accused of involvement in the incident should first be handed over to them.
Five other men were wounded in the fight Tuesday evening between Fatah and Islamist gunmen.
A security source at the camp told The Daily Star that a fight between a juice seller and an Islamist resident quickly developed into an exchange of fire between two groups.
