Mugging in Beirut southern suburb leaves motorcyclist stranded

BEIRUT: Four men driving a four-wheel drive Cherokee in Beirut's southern suburb of Ouzai intercepted Palestinian national Ahmad Ghassan Saleh, and proceeded to steal his motorcycle, money, cell phone and identification papers, security sources told The Daily Star.

According to the sources, the four men then immediately fled, leaving their victim on the roadside, at the end of the tunnel leading to Khaldeh, a coastal town south of Beirut.

Saleh provided police with a description of the muggers and their vehicle.
