BEIRUT: During his weekly Friday sermon, Sheikh Abdul-Amir Qabalan condemned recent events and said the state must seek to end the blocking of roads and protect the airport. “What we are witnessing in Lebanon from road blocking and kidnapping is unacceptable. This is a mess and we should not obstruct the course of people’s life,” Qabalan said, according to the NNA. He said the events were a conspiracy against residents of the southern suburbs. He also called for an end to citizens carrying and using weapons.
