Police kill one in attempted burglary of Kuwait MP

BEIRUT: One man was killed and another wounded Thursday in an exchange of fire with security forces as a group of men attempted to burgle a Mount Lebanon home. A municipal police officer saw Palestinian Samir al-Husseini, Lebanese Dia Aabdin, and Syrian Hadded attempting to break into a house owned by a Kuwaiti MP in Hammana. The officer called the Internal Security Forces who exchanged fire with the men. Husseini was killed and Aabdin was wounded and taken to a nearby hospital. Police are in pursuit of Hadded.
