Italian speaker visits country’s UNIFIL troops

BEIRUT: The speaker of Italy’s parliament paid a visit to his country’s UNIFIL contingent Friday to offer holiday wishes to the peacekeeping troops. Gianfranco Fini received a briefing at UNIFIL Sector West headquarters in the village of Shamaa before having lunch with Italian peacekeepers, to whom he expressed his best wishes for Christmas and New Year.
