JEZZINE, Lebanon: The body of a man found in Jezzine Friday was identified Saturday morning as that of Mohammad Mahmoud al-Mousa, a 30-year-old Palestinian, born in the Tyre refugee camp Jal Al-Bahr.
Security services, the Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense found the body of the man, whom doctors believe has been dead for at least a week, on Tallet Sabbah.
Born in the refugee camp of Jal al-Bahr, Moussa was forced to move to Ain el-Helweh as a child because of the Civil War.
When he was discovered on Friday, Moussa’s face was disfigured, apparently as a result of pecking by birds.
Security sources said the man frequently left his home and that he would take drugs.
His body was taken to Jezzine state hospital, from which it will be handed over to his relatives.
An investigation has been launched to find out the circumstances surrounding his death.
