BEIRUT: A Palestinian man was arrested Tuesday in Nahr Ibrahim, north Beirut, on suspicion of committing unspecified security-related violations.
Security sources told The Daily Star that Nahr Ibrahim municipal police arrested Saad Ahmad Rabah, a Palestinian, at dawn Tuesday after witnessing him and two companions engage in suspicious activity.
They said members of the municipal police apprehended Rabah after a chase, but that the two other men managed to evade capture.
Rabah is being interrogated by Lebanese police so as to determine what he and his partners were doing in the area.
