Inmate hangs himself at Zahle prison

BEIRUT: A 21-year-old inmate was found hanged in a bathroom at Zahle prison, east Lebanon, Tuesday.

Security Sources said Hussein Hamieh, a former Lebanese Army soldier who was at the prison on drugs charges, hanged himself using fabric torn from his mattress.
