BEIRUT: Thieves made off with LL30 million ($20,000) from the Crepaway restaurant in Kfardebian, northeast of Beirut, overnight, security sources said Monday.
They said the robbers broke into Crepaway restaurant inside Mazar Hotel, busted into the safe and stole LL30 million in cash.
Separately, on the Beirut airport highway, unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle stole LL150,000 and the cellphones of Karim Samih Aridi and Firas Mufid Aridi as they tried to repair their car, which had suddenly broken down.
