BEIRUT: A man wanted in connection with armed robbery and kidnapping was apprehended in Baalbek, the National News Agency said Friday.
Army intelligence personnel caught the man, identified as Ali Hasan Masri, one day earlier, after staking out his whereabouts.
Masri was wanted for his alleged role in an armed robbery that netted LL230 million, after he and accomplices mugged an employee of the Zahle branch of Credit Libannaise bank.
Masri was also wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a local man in exchange for ransom, as well as other crimes, the NNA said.
