Man stabbed to death in Aley, two hit by stray bullets

BEIRUT: A man was found stabbed nine times in his residence in Aley and two people were shot in separate incidents, the National News Agency reported Wednesday. According to the NNA, Said Daliqan from Aley was found stabbed nine times in his home. The forensics expert who examined the body said Daliqan had died from his wounds 12 to 18 hours earlier. Police arrived at the scene and opened an investigation. Elsewhere, Sylvana Jamal was injured by a stray bullet in the village of Hawik, just inside the Syrian border where some Lebanese reside. She was taken to a hospital in Baalbek for treatment and the source of the gunfire remains undetermined. Separately, at the edges of the Burj al-Barajneh Palestinian refugee camp, Abbas Hussein was struck in the abdomen by a bullet which caused severe bleeding. Hussein was taken to a nearby hospital.
