Gunmen rob north Lebanon residential complex

BEIRUT: Gunmen robbed four people working at a residential complex in north Lebanon Sunday night, security sources told The Daily Star, adding that the burglars made away with various items including several cables and a generator.

The five men, according to the sources, were carrying military weapons when they entered the Hmaydan housing project in a Bsharri neighborhood.

They robbed four Syrian workers and took their money and mobile phones.

The men then fled the scene.

Meanwhile in Furn al-Shubbak, Metn, police arrested two men on an unlicensed motorcycle and confiscated a plastic gun, three pairs of gloves, two woven hats and two mobile phones.

Nabil Najib al-Khoury, 24, and Moussa Jean King Shaanin, 30, were referred to Furn al-Shubbak Police Station for further investigation as they await the judiciary’s approval.
