Bekaa man and son dead, wife wounded, in shootout

BEIRUT: A man and his son were found dead in the Bekaa valley town of Hadath Baalbek after they were shot in the head, Elnashra news website reported Sunday. Mohammad Sobhi Zeaiter, 45, and his son Ayla Zeaiter, 14, died after being shot in the head, Elnashra said. Mohammad Zeiater’s wife Randa Zeiater, 32, was also shot in the head but survived and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Elnashra said the crime took place on the balcony of the family’s house in Hadath Baalbek. The causes of the shootout remain unknown, according to Elnashra, and the Internal Security Forces have launched investigations.
