BEIRUT: Cabinet announced judicial appointments during its session Wednesday at Baabda's presidential palace, sources at the palace told The Daily Star.

Judge Jean Fahed was announced as head of the Higher Judicial Council, while Judge Hatem Madi will be appointed state prosecutor.
