BEIRUT: A man died in a shootout with the police in the Kesrouan town of Adonis Monday evening after he opened fire at a police vehicle while attempting to flee the area. The man, identified as Akram Fahd and wanted by the police for possession of drugs and drug dealing, was immediately rushed to the nearby Lady of Lebanon Hospital in critical condition. Another man who was with Akram in the car was immediately arrested by the police, security sources said. His name was not identified to the media. According to the security sources, Akram was shot in the chest during the shootout.
