BEIRUT: The body of a 65-year-old Lebanese woman was found Sunday near a farmhouse in the Mount Lebanon town of Amchit, the National News Agency reported.

The condition of the body, identified as 65-year-old Najya Faraj Khodor, indicated that she had died some time ago.

The relevant security forces and forensic investigators arrived to scene after receiving reports about the body and transferred the corpse to a local hospital, the NNA said.

The NNA said that Khodor left her house in Amchit four months ago and that her family had not heard from her since.

According to the NNA report, Khodor had previously attempted suicide by poisoning after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
