1 wounded in Beirut refugee camp shootout

BEIRUT: A member of a Palestinian political faction was wounded in an overnight shootout at Beirut’s Shatila refugee camp, security sources said Wednesday.

They said an old dispute between Mohammad Aqaba, a member of Ahmad Jibril’s Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, and Abu Mohammad al-Rifai, evolved into an armed confrontation.

As a result, Aqaba was wounded in the legs. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
