BEIRUT: Three inmates in Zahle Prison, east Lebanon, were transferred to hospital Friday after self-harming with sharp objects.
A prison guard heard noises in one of the cells in the prison overnight. He found the prisoners bleeding after they had cut themselves with metal objects, security sources told The Daily Star.
The prisoners were aged between 27 and 52, and were all serving sentences for drug-related crimes.
