Police close nightclub after drug, prostitution charges

BEIRUT: Police shut down a nightclub Monday in the Metn town of Dikwaneh, after the establishment was accused of facilitating drug use and prostitution.

Dikwaneh Mayor Antoine Shakhtoura asked Internal Security Forces personnel to shut down Ghost, a nightclub on Freeway Street, after he received complaints.

Separately, in Beirut, police arrested five men in Ramlet al-Baida and Al-Nahr for hashish possession, and four Syrians were apprehended in Hamra for drug possession.
