BEIRUT: Police arrested three Lebanese and a Palestinian for various offenses Friday, the National News Agency reported.
Three men, identified only by their initials, were arrested in the Beirut neighborhoods of Corniche al-Nahr and Jnah for drug possession.
In the Beirut neighborhood of Cola, a Palestinian was arrested for fleeing in order to avoid a six-month prison sentence issued by the military tribunal and not paying a fine of LL42 million for illegally transporting arms and munitions.
In the Zahle village of Karak, thieves broke into the home of Fayez Mohammad and stole goods worth LL10 million. Also in Zahle, police arrested a man from the Sayyed family for 29 outstanding warrants related to various crimes.
