Two killed, 3 injured in Sidon road accident

SIDON, Lebanon: Two young people were killed in a road accident in the southern city of Sidon overnight Saturday, while three others were injured.

Mahmoud Bassiri, 19, was killed immediately after the vehicle he was driving slid off the road and crashed into a palm tree.

Rayana al-Hadari, 19, also died in the car crash, while her 9-year-old sister Jana was severely injured.

Two more young men were also injured and were transferred, along with the little girl, to a local hospital.

All three are in critical condition.
