Parliament website back up afterweekend hacking
A+ A-

BEIRUT: Parliament’s website returned to normal Sunday after being hacked a day earlier by a group that identified itself as Team Kuwaiti Hackers.

In a statement, Parliament warned the hackers that they would face prosecution for the act.

The hackers posted a photo of controversial Salafist Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir on the website and a message criticizing Hezbollah and the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Government websites were targeted last year by a group of hackers identifying themselves as Raise Your Voice, who took down the sites of the Office of the Minister for State Administrative Reform and the Office of the Prime Minister.
