School bus runs into cars in north Beirut, no casualties

BEIRUT: A school bus carrying 51 students crashed into several other cars Tuesday after the driver lost control over the vehicle’s brakes, security sources told The Daily Star.

The students from al-Rusol high school in Beirut’s Haret Hreik were on their way back from a school trip to the ski resort of Faraya when the bus ran into ten cars in the Zouk Mosbeh area, north of Beirut, the sources said.

No causalities were recorded in the road accident, the sources said, adding that some students suffered from mild bruises.
