BEIRUT: Lebanese University professors announced Tuesday they would join the open-ended strike by teachers and public servants launched last week.
After a meeting of the executive committee of full-time LU professors, committee chairman Hamid Hakam urged the Cabinet to hold a special session to discuss the situation at the university and the concerns of the professors, administration and employees.
Hakam slammed the Cabinet for the delay in appointing new faculty deans and new members to the LU council.
