BEIRUT: A driver crashed his bus into a pickup truck after suffering a heart attack while driving on Dahr al-Baidar international highway Monday. The National News Agency reported that Omar Maarstawi, a 52-year-old Syrian national, died immediately while at the wheel of the bus while the driver of the pickup truck, which was transporting dairy products, was unharmed. Dahr al-Baidar highway is a main route transporting goods from the Bekaa to different regions in Syria and Lebanon. The accident caused the traffic, already congested by the severe weather, to worsen.
