BEKAA, Lebanon: A man’s body was found along a stretch of a river in east Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, two days after he went missing, security sources said Friday.

Police found the body of Mohammad Ibrahim al-Fadel, 50, drowned along a stretch of the Ghzayyel River near the Bekaa town of Deir Zannoun, the sources told The Daily Star.

They said police had been searching for Fadel since he went missing Wednesday.

The circumstances behind Fadel’s death have yet to be determined.
