BEIRUT: Bodies of two Syrian workers were found Thursday in a warehouse in Beirut where a fire erupted last week, security sources told The Daily Star.
The warehouse, used to hold food and owned by Abdel-Karim Abdallah Shatila, collapsed after a major fire on Jan. 11, but the cleanup operation only began Thursday. Workers discovered the bodies of two Syrian brothers, identified as Mohammad Saleh Muhana, 21, and his brother Yehya, 16.
The sources said the two could have been sleeping when the fire erupted, and said it appeared one of the men had been holding onto the other when they died.
