TRIPOLI, Lebanon: The stability of a week-long truce between pro-Assad and anti-Assad groups was threatened after a man was stabbed Thursday when a skirmish broke out between the rival groups in the neighborhood of Baqqar.
The skirmish, which began by rival groups throwing stones, escalated once an anti-Assad man was stabbed. The Lebanese Army was heavily deployed, bringing the clash to a standstill.
