ISF reports arrests over car theft, kidnapping
A+ A-

BEIRUT: Four men were arrested Friday for alleged involvement in two separate counts of kidnapping and theft, according to the ISF.

One man, identified as A.H., was arrested and taken to hospital after a exchange of gunfire between the male and the ISF in the Beirut neighborhood of Shiah.

A.H. was being sought by authorities for allegedly mugging three men at knife point in a Shiah cafe, taking their money, cellular phones and car before kidnapping them.

The three men eventually managed to escape in the suburb of Burj al-Barajneh.

In a separate incident, three men, identified as A.S., N.H. and G.N., were arrested in the Beirut suburbs of Burj Hammoud and Jisr al-Basha after confessing to stealing more than 80 Toyota and Honda pickup cars and transporting them to a village in the Bekaa Valley.
