Ibrahim meets with Malaysian interior minister

BEIRUT: Director of General Security Brig. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim met Friday with Malaysian Interior Minister Hishamuddin bin Hussein, a statement said.

Ibrahim intended the official visit, which kicked off Thursday, to set in motion discussions with Hussein about several issues, including combating organized drugs and confronting terrorism.

The meeting also offered both countries the opportunity to improve cooperation on issues both are keen to resolve. Ibrahim is also set to meet several senior Malaysian officials.
