BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army and United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon have launched a joint investigation into a case of vandalism against nine cars owned by civilian employees who work for the peacekeepers.
The National News Agency reported that unidentified men punctured the tires of the vehicles overnight in the Tyre neighborhood of Al-Hosh.
UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti added that the incident will not affect the transportation routes of UNIFIL personnel between Beirut and the south: “There will be no modifications to the tasks of UNIFIL employees.”
