Shooting over old family disputes in Beirut’s southern suburb

BEIRUT: Two separate shooting incidents took place Tuesday in different neighborhoods in the southern suburb of Beirut, security sources told The Daily Star.

Both incidents, which lasted for no longer than four minutes each, were over old family disputes, the sources said.

The first shooting took place in Hay al-Sellom neighborhood between Haj Hasan and al-Mustafa family members while the second took place in the Lailaki neighborhood between Zeaiter and Hjoula family members.

No casualties were reported.
