Wife shot by husband, in critical condition

BEIRUT: A wife shot by her husband in their home was admitted to a hospital in critical condition late Friday in Keserwan, Mount Lebanon, a security source told The Daily Star.

Nazih Youssef Habshi allegedly fled his home after shooting his wife Mary Tanios Khalil in the head, the source said.

Khalil was admitted to the intensive care unit in the Saint George Hospital in Ajaltoun.

Police launched an investigation into the incident and are looking for the husband.
