BEIRUT: Road accidents claimed the lives of two pedestrians in separate incidents Thursday. Ibrahim Hajjar, 48, was struck by a car, near a pedestrian walkway, on the stretch of highway between Beirut and Dbayyeh.
Hajjar was hit by an Oldsmobile while attempting to cross from one side of the highway to the other. The driver of the car, Phillipe Saeibi, turned himself at the scene of the accident.
In Beirut, Mohammad Saleh was hit by an car on the road connecting Beirut’s Badaro and Barbir neighborhoods. The driver fled the scene immediately.
Separately, a man identified as Khodr Abdel-Sater, who was injured in a collision between two cars on the Burj al-Arab highway in Akkar, succumbed to his injuries later in the day.
