Palestinian suspected of collaborating with Israel arrested

BEIRUT: Authorities arrested a Palestinian man in south Lebanon Friday for allegedly collaborating with Israel, security sources said.

The sources, speaking to The Daily Star on condition of anonymity, said an Internal Security Forces Information Branch patrol apprehended Mohammad Kamal Rahil, 29, in Bourj al-Shamali, near the southern port city of Tyre.

His arrest came upon orders from Lebanese Army Intelligence.

Rahil has been handed over to a police interrogation team, the sources added.
