BEIRUT: Assailants tossed an explosive device at a building in Qornet Hamra, in the Metn region north of Beirut, early Monday, inflicting damage but no casualties.

Security sources told the Daily Star the 3:40 a.m. attack targeted Joseph Tohmeh building.

Windows of several apartments in the Tohmeh building were broken, as were the windows of three parked cars.

The sources said police are yet to determine the type of the device, but have launched an investigation into the incident.
