Red Cross transfers man’s remains from Israel
A+ A-

BEIRUT: The body of a 42-year-old Lebanese man who died in Israel was returned Tuesday to his family in the village of Deir Mimas, south Lebanon, according to the National News Agency.

The NNA said Rony Hanna al-Hasbani’s body was handed to his family by the International Committee of the Red Cross which transferred the deceased through the Naqoura gate.

Hasbani and hundreds of Lebanese who collaborated with Israel during the occupation of south Lebanon fled to the Jewish state when Israeli withdrew its troops from Lebanon in 2000.
