BEIRUT: The head of the World Forum for Reconciliation between Islamic Doctrines, Sheikh Mohsen Araki, discussed the dangers associated with burgeoning hostilities among Muslim sects with Lebanese officials Wednesday.
Araki, accompanied by Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi, also held separate talks with Speaker Nabih Berri, former Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss and Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.
“[We hope] the agreement among different sects and religions that is embodied in Beirut will continue to be a model for other people around the world,” Araki said after his meeting with Berri.
