BEIRUT: Interior Minister Marwan Charbel headed to Saudi Arabia Monday to take part in a conference for Arab interior ministers, a statement from his press office said.
The minister was accompanied by Internal Security Forces chief Gen. Ashraf Rifi and a number of senior officers, the statement said.
The Council of Arab Interior Ministers will hold its 30th session in Riyadh on March 13-14.
The session's agenda includes several key security topics and will be attended by Saudi officials, ministers of interior and security delegations.
The meeting will also be attended by representatives of the United Nations, the Arab League, and the Gulf Cooperative Council.
