BEIRUT: Around 20 men blocked a neighborhood road in the northern city of Tripoli in protest of the detention of a resident.

The men blocked the road with burning trash and tires in the Bab al-Hadeed area and demanded the release of Omar Abdel-Qader who was arrested by the Lebanese Army earlier Monday.

Abdel-Qader is accused of shooting in the direction of soldiers on previous occasions.
