BEIRUT: The employee of a fast food restaurant in Kesrouan was found dead in his car Friday, the victim of an apparent suicide.
Police found a hunting rifle next to the body of Maroun Youssef Faddoul. He was discovered in his car in the private lot belonging to the Safra branch of Hawa Chicken, where he worked as an engineer.
In other police news, Baalbek resident Haytham Mazloum reported a break-in of his home that netted thieves $16,000 in cash and around the same amount in gold, in addition to $10,000 worth of mobile charge cards and cellphone accessories.
On the Zahle-Baalbek road, three armed men in a gray Honda robbed Zakaria Abdel-Qader Mlisho, a Syrian national, of his motorcycle and the perfume and accessories he was selling. The total value of the stolen items amounted to nearly $1,000.
