ISF personnel arrest wanted gunman in Tripoli

BEIRUT: A wanted gunman was arrested by Internal Security Forces personnel in the city of Tripoli Thursday, the National News Agency reported.

Shortly after the arrest, dozens of Sunni protesters took to the streets in Tripoli demanding the gunman’s release.

The man, identified as Ali Mouheish, was arrested by the ISF hours after he opened fire, targeting the neighborhood of Jabal Mohsen from Syria Street, which separates the predominantly Alawite area from the Sunni stronghold of Bab al-Tabbaneh.
