Man beaten, left for dead over financial dispute

BEIRUT: Jounieh-based police have arrested an individual for a attempted murder over a financial dispute, the National News Agency reported on Friday.

The 26-year-old individual, identified by his initials, broke into the house of a Jounieh resident on Thursday, beat him repeatedly on the head, and left him bleeding. The victim was rushed to the hospital. The perpetrator later confessed he struck the victim due to a financial dispute. The detainee was referred to Jounieh branch of the judicial police for investigations.
