BEIRUT: The Lebanese Forces (LF) is in the final stages of preparing by-laws for the party, Samir Geagea said Wednesday. Speaking to a group of LF cadres taking part in a conference of diaspora LF figures from the Gulf states, the LF leader said the new by-laws would be delivered “in a few weeks” to the executive committee of the LF. The by-laws would then receive final approval by the party’s general assembly. Geagea said that “intensive and precise” work was taking place on the by-laws, “despite all of the developments in the country.” The LF returned to political life in 2005, when Geagea was released from prison following Syria’s withdrawal from Lebanon.
