Palestinian president to meet Israel vice PM

RAMALLAH: Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas will hold talks with Israeli vice prime minister Shaul Mofaz, the Palestinians' WAFA news agency reported on Wednesday.

Abbas "will meet Israeli vice prime minister Shaul Mofaz on Sunday," the president's political adviser Nimr Hammad told WAFA.

Palestinian negotiator Mohammad Eshtayeh told Voice of Palestine radio that the meeting would take place in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
